Mission and Vision

At the Center for Neurosciences our patients come first; your satisfaction with our services is the best measure of our success. In every interaction, we seek to meet your needs with our team focus on high quality care.

History

The origins of the Center for Neurosciences date back to 1950, when Tucson’s first neurosurgeon, Juan Fonseca, MD, opened his practice and began working with Charles Elkins, MD. In 1963, George William Nash, MD, joined their group, which was named Neurological Associates of Tucson. The group continued under that name until 2006 when they joined forces with Pediatric Neurology Associates to form the Center for Neurosciences. Today we strive to honor the commitment to quality care that has been at the heart of our practice for 60 years.

Center for Neurosciences Foundation

The Center for Neurosciences Foundation (Each Brain Matters) is a nonprofit foundation created in 2010 to support research and education in the neurosciences and to raise awareness of diseases of the nervous system. The scope of our mission includes engaging people in learning about development and lifelong care of the brain and nervous system.

Our Physicians’ Goal

Our physicians’ goal is to provide the highest-quality neurological care– the same level of care we would want for ourselves or our loved ones.

We will help our patients to understand their condition, listen to their concerns, answer their questions, and provide the best clinical treatment available.
