This External Imaging Review is intended to provide a second opinion regarding the treatment of tumors of the brain and spine. Imaging and other relevant clinical data is reviewed by a member of our Brain Tumor Center\u2019s multidisciplinary team which consists of a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/neurotucson.com\/bio\/michael-badruddoja\/\">neuro-oncologist<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/neurotucson.com\/about\/our-physicians\/#neurosurgery\">neurosurgeons<\/a>&nbsp;and a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/neurotucson.com\/about\/our-physicians\/#radiation-oncology\">radiation oncologist<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to Request an External Imaging Review<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In order to provide a second opinion, we require a completed&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.neurotucson.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/Imaging-Review-Form.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">External Imaging Review Form<\/a>, a pathology report and two MRI imaging studies provided on a CD (or film). We prefer two imaging studies with different dates of service, however, we will review your information if you have only had one MRI study. This information should be sent to the Center for Neurosciences through a carrier that provides tracking (such as FedEx or UPS). Our address is:&nbsp;<strong>Center for Neurosciences, 2450 E. River Road, Tucson, AZ 85718, Attn: Brain Tumor Center\/External Imaging Review<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You will receive a telephone call from one of the members of our multidisciplinary team within 24 to 48 hours of receipt of your completed information packet. A second opinion will be provided by phone and you will also receive formal written documentation within 7 days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have questions regarding the External Imaging Review, please call us at (520) 795-7750 and ask for the neuro-oncology office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Charge<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>There is a $100 administrative fee for the External Imaging Review. Please include the payment with your information packet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Disclaimer<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The CNS External Imaging Review may not be a covered service under your insurance or Medicare coverage and the associated costs may or may not be applied to any coverage you may have or to your annual deductible.
