The Center for Neurosciences is Southern Arizona\u2019s largest and longest-standing neuroscience medical practice. Our aim is to deliver the highest standard of neurological care \u2013 the same level of care we would want for ourselves or our loved ones. The Center has a dedicated Clinical Research Program with six principal investigators and a full-time research nurse. Collectively, our investigators have vast experience conducting phase II through phase IV clinical trials in a broad range of neurologic diseases affecting adults and children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Our investigators and staff have vast experience conducting clinical trials in collaboration with pharmaceutical and biotech companies of all sizes. Some of investigator\u2019s specialize in device trials as well. Our Site has worked with all the major Contract Research Organizations and Institutional Review Boards. We focus on the following therapeutic areas: Mild Cognitive Impairment, Alzheimer\u2019s disease, and other dementias, brain tumors, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, ear and hearing disorders, headache\/migraine, and Parkinson\u2019s disease.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Michael Badruddoja, MD<\/a> is a Board-certified Neurologist with Fellowship training in Neuro-Oncology. His special interest is in the treatment of malignant glioma and he has been the Principal Investigator on multiple phase II glioblastoma multiforme clinical trials. He is also a Principal Investigator on Alzheimer\u2019s disease trials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Francisco Valdivia, MD<\/a> is a board-certified neurologist who is also a certified Multiple Sclerosis Specialist and a member of the Consortium of Multiple Sclerosis Centers. He is a Principal Investigator on several Multiple Sclerosis trials, the Medical Director of Stroke at St. Mary\u2019s Hospital and a fluent Spanish speaker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Abhay Sanan, MD<\/a> is Board-certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery and completed his fellowship in Skull Base\/Cerebrovascular Surgery. He is the Chief of Neurosurgery at Northwest Medical Center and St. Mary\u2019s Hospital. Dr. Sanan is also a Principal Investigator for neurological trials including various therapeutic trials<\/p>\n\n\n\nNeurosurgery<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
